The Google Pixel Tablet was first teased last year, and the months that followed saw Google keeping mum about most of the tablet's specifications. A couple of days just before I/O 2023 where the Internet search giant is expected to announce the Pixel Tablet, an accidental listing revealed the key specifications of the tablet including stylus compatibility, pricing details, and a release date.

The finding was shared on Reddit, where some users spotted an early Amazon listing of the Pixel Tablet in Japan. The post, which has since been removed, indicated that the device will be released in the Land of the Rising Sun on June 20 alongside a $590 (¥79,800 / €530) price tag for the 8+128 GB model. Interestingly, this is cheaper compared to the European pricing that ranges from €600 to €650 as reported last month.

In addition to the price, specifications of the tablet were revealed, which were consistent with previous leaks. It was revealed the device is going to sport an 11-inch LCD screen with 500 nits brightness and 2560×1600 resolution. Users will be able to pair the Pixel Tablet with third-party styluses via USI 2.0 support, although it remains unclear whether Google is going to introduce its official Pixel pen that is similar to the OnePlus Pad's Stylo.

Furthermore, the Pixel Tablet will feature an 8 MP camera positioned in front and at the rear apiece, which is capable of up to 1080p video recording. At the same time, the Google tablet has an array of connectivity options including UWB (ultrawide band) for its Fast Pair capability, Wi-Fi 6, USB-C 3.2, and a 4-pin connector for the Pixel Charging Speaker dock. There are also three built-in mics, suggesting compatibility with extensive smart home-based features.

Google's I/O 2023 event will kick off on May 10. The highlight of the conference is the company's Android 14 OS, but the Pixel Fold and Pixel 7a would most likely be announced alongside the Pixel Tablet.

What are your thoughts on the specifications and price of the Google Pixel Tablet? Is the Internet search giant's first Pixel slate worth picking up? Share your answers with us in the comments.

I still remember how amazed I was when I first got hold of the Nokia 3210 back when I was a kid, and it was during that time I developed my love for technology, particularly for mobile phones. I started sharing my knowledge through writing in different blogs and forums back in Nokia Nseries era. I even make videos before where I put different phones side-by-side. Today, I'm still an avid enthusiast of smartphones, but my interests have evolved into smart devices and electric vehicles.
