We already told you about the HTC event in London today and we had a feeling the Taiwanese Smartphone giant had something good cooking up in the lab. Not wanting to let the other Android reporters have all the fun, AndroidPIT's on Fabien packed his bags and set off for London to get some exclusive hands on time with the new HTC handset.
It wasn't long ago that HTC debuted their first Android smartphone featuring Beats audio technology– The HTC Sensation XE. Now Samsung's chief Android rivals are topping themselves with the HTC Sensation XL with Beats audio. While some may have been disappointed that the officially announced HTC Amaze was a no-show, they would do well to take a close look at the Sensation XL.
As you may have guessed by the name, the Sensation XL doesn't just feature extra large bass, it's also pack a surpersized 4.7” display. Of course thin is in and HTC, ever the trend setter, has managed to pack the entire system into a 9.9 mm body. Not bad for a smartphone designed for maximum media enjoyment. Additionally, the Sensation XL sports an 8 MP camera with a f/2.2, 28mm wide angle lens and BSI sensor for better photos in poor lighting conditions.
Topping off the package are the UrBeats headphones which have been designed to work wit Beat's equalization technology for the best sound quality currently offered on any smartphone and HTC Watch, an exclusive App, that allows HTC customers to access a premium selection of films and television programs.
There's no word on an American release as of yet but the EAMA (Europe, Near East and Africa) region and the Pacific rim can expect the device this coming November including a special edition featuring Beat Solo headphones.
