LG is starting strong in 2012. LG's CES press conference is just wrapping up and the Korean electronic giant is bringing their A-game. Highlights of their press conference included:
- A new generation of high-def smartphone displays
- A smartphone featuting a dual-boot system, meaning you can run two Android versions simultaneous on one handset.
- An exclusive partnership with ESPN
LG's new generation of “True HD IPS Displays” promise to deliver better picture quality with less energy consumption. LG's Optimus LTE; Nitro HD and Spectrum will feature the new technology.
Also announced at LG's CES event: The LG Spectrum. Billed as LG's first premium smartphone this season the Spectrum will feature: 1.5GHz dual-core processor, Android 2.3, 8MP rear-facing camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera and record 1080p HD playback. In addition to tech specs that are more then easy on the eyes, the Spectrum will also have exclusive content that should get every sports fans heart pumping. LG has sealed an exclusive deal with ESPN "to deliver a breakthrough HD video experience to the mobile phone." Each LG Spectrum will come with ESPN's new SportsCenter app pre-loaded which will offer customers exclusive ESPN access in 720p. The Spectrum will be avialable exclusivly at the Verizon store and will retail at $199.99 on a two year contract.
