Get Android 4.3 on your Galaxy S4 now

Kris Carlon

SamMobile has leaked the almost finished Android 4.3 firmware for the Galaxy S4 I9505, meaning if you can't possibly wait for the sometime-in-October OTA release, and even then as a staggered rollout, then you can download the ROM and flash it to your device, right now. Keep in mind this is not the final build, so it may be a little buggy - although SamMobile report that it's stable - but it will get Android 4.3 on your rooted international LTE variant S4 in a jiffy, adding Samsung Wallet, Samsung Knox, a reading mode, better color reproduction and some other performance and speed improvements.

android 43 update
The HTC One Developer Edition got in first, but now you can have 4.3 on your S4 too. /AndroidPIT

Before we go any further, here's the technical details for your consideration, and as always, we remind you that AndroidPIT takes no responsibility for any issues you may encounter when rooting your device or flashing ROMs, so proceed at your own risk (sounds scary, doesn't it?).

Hi GajjarKelvin, the S4 mini will definitely get the 4.3 update, but I'm not aware of a manual update yet? The OTA shouldn't be too far away in any case. But all the full-sized flagships will get priority treatment.

Hey @Jonah and @Amit, there's no release yet that i'm aware of for the i9500, and unfortunately you can't flash this firmware on that device. Just wait, it'll appear soon enough, I'm sure!

Works fine for me after 2 installs, the first I did not have Wi-Fi access, which I use always at home. But now is fine, play store auto reinstalled all my apps.

Hey @Geoff, yeah I heard about the firmware creating a few Wi-Fi issues, but they all seemed to work fine after a repeat attempt or two. Glad you got it fixed too.
