Heard enough about the Galaxy S5 for a day? AT&T Galaxy S4 owners should lend an ear to this piece of news: Android 4.4.2 KitKat has just started rolling out to your smartphones OTA and should arrive in the next few days.
AT&T finally approved the update, passing the new firmware through the normal carrier certification process, an ordeal that can take just a few days or in worst cases, weeks and weeks. Thankfully, as of today, AT&T S4 owners will be seeing the update quite soon. If you are feeling impatient, go ahead and check manually for yourself by going into your settings, then about phone and software update and tap to check for the update. I would recommend being connected to a WiFi network as to not use too much mobile data in case yours is not unlimited.
The update could be available through Kies as well. It brings quite a few nice enhancements, such as support for Galaxy Gear, the option of draggin and dropping application to uninstall or disable them and more reliable calling. We've already discussed the changes brought by Android 4.4.2 on the Galaxy S4 in another article for your reference.
Did you get the update? How's it working so far?
