Samsung is on a roll lately with its flagship Galaxy S3, and with 10 million+ already sold, to say that the device is a hit is an understatement. Now with all the talk going on about Android Jelly Bean updates and CyanogenMod10 making its way to specific devices, owners of the GS3 are wondering how long it will take to see the update. Well according to Sam Mobile, the 4.1 update might be coming sooner than expected.
Keep in mind that this information has NOT been confirmed by Samsung, but has been reported by trusted sources over at Sam Mobile. According to them, Samsung is getting very close (currently testing) to pushing the update out to the Galaxy S3, and could begin rolling it out in August or September.
They also stated that the Galaxy S2 Jelly Bean update is currently in testing, which is naturally a nice piece of news for owners of Samsung's previous flagship device. We don’t have any news regarding tablets or the Galaxy Note yet, but we will be sure to update this article if we hear anything.
If Samsung would roll out updates for the GS2 and GS3 in the next 8 weeks, it would just prove even more how seriously they are taking their will to dominate the Android market. In the eyes of many, the Galaxy S3 is already the “best” smartphone in existence, and the only thing that could make it even better would be a taste of Jelly Bean (and maybe think about ditching TouchWiz, but that’s just me :-D). Couple that with their previous Galaxy device getting the update soon, and we could see literally millions of happy Samsung customers in the coming months.
