Features & Use
Tested on: Samsung Galaxy Note 2
Android version: 4.1.2
Catch The Candy has to load some data before you can start playing. Once that’s done you’ll land in the colourful main menu where you can set up a profile and make yourself familiar with the game’s features. I chose to deactivate the music which didn’t sit particularly well with me.
Hit play and select one of six scenes/worlds, each of which contains 14 levels, the first of which are simple and there to help you learn the ropes. The goal is to get the goods (read: candy/sweets) using the creature’s extendible grappling tail. You can get round obstacles by pushing the objects away or pulling them towards yourself, but you can’t make use of the walls. The less often you use your tail, the higher your score!
Levels are nice and diversified. As mentioned, you will come across objects that have to be cleared away, at other times you’ll have to do quite a bit of climbing, or hold on to a bunch of wheels, etc. Pay heed to the game’s physics when you’re dealing with a scale or balancing on logs, for instance. Sometimes it pays to think ahead, because if you don’t manage to collect a sufficient number of stars you won’t be able to unlock the next world. You can collect up three stars per level.

Catch The Candy is the kind of game that can be entertainingly distracting thanks to lots of elements and obstacles within the game. The gameplay is easy to grasp, and the only thing that I didn’t enjoy quite so much is the music. But overall I would give this a game a happy thumbs up.
Screen & Controls
Catch The Candy has a playful look to it, perfectly in tune with the playful theme. I have to say that the graphics are a bit too technicolour for my liking, but to each their own. I felt a bit overwhelmed the the colourfulness.
The game is based on Flashgame for browser and this is rather apparent. Graphics are by no means poor, though.
Controls are easy to pick up and apply.
Speed & Stability
Catch The Candy is stabile and fast.
Catch The Candy costs €0.72 from the Play Store, which is a fair price in my book. There are no ads.
