With the first iPad, Apple made the tablet socially acceptable. Now the fifth generation gets a new design as well as a new name. The iPad Air is thinner and lighter than its predecessor: with a 7.5 mm thickness and a weight of 500 grams, it is the lightest tablet for its size. Like the iPhone 5s, the iPad Air also has one of the new 64-bit processors with M7-A7 processor on board. The camera is not, however, the same 8-megapixel lens as that found on the 5s, but features a 5 megapixel sensor instead. The iPad Air comes in models with 16/32/64/128 GB of internal memory and all have 1 GB of RAM.
