The HTC Evo 3D was launched in March 2011, making HTC the first smartphone manufacturer to bring a display for glassless 3D viewing to the market. The Evo 3D was soon in direct competition with the LG Optimus 3D. It accommodates a 4.3-inch display with qHD resolution and a dual camera of 5 MP resolution with 3D effect. The internal memory of 4 GB can be expanded via microSD. It was released with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and got an update to Android 4.1. The Evo 3D was, however, an experiment that HTC has not pursued. So it remains the only HTC smartphone with 3D technology.
