A couple days ago we saw what we thought to be the HTC Aria getting shown off in a YouTube video from AT&T, and today AT&T finally announced the phone which is known as the HTC Aria. The phone was previously rumored to be called the HTC Liberty and is a mid-range Android phone running Android 2.1.
The phone was seen in the hands of an AT&T employee named Dante Martin not too long ago in this YouTube video.
Assuming you exclude the Nexus One, this phone is AT&T's first Android phone that comes with Android 2.1, and according to the AT&T press release, it can be yours "for $129.99 after $100 mail-in rebate" with a two-year agreement and smartphone data plan and you can have it as soon as June 20th.

- 512MB ROM/384MB RAM

Phandroid notes that the price of the HTC Aria makes "it one of the most affordable options in the American market."
