Android Running On a Watch?

Motorola Actv Running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

The technical ingenuity of the Android community is really amazing. When the Motorola RAZR debuted Google's new mobile devision also introduced the world to the Motorola Actv, a watch/ fitness tracker running a scaled down version of Android. As far as Android accessories go, it was neat, but at $250 it was a bit pricy for your typical Android consumer. But the Motorola Actv just got a whole lot more interesting. An intrepid Android moder took it upon himself to bring a full Android distribution to the smallest of Android devices and just released the boot image for all to try. Wanna see the smallest Android device on the market? Check out the video after the jump.

The as with all rooting the mod attempt isn't for the faint of heart but as you can see from the demo video, the launcher runs surprisingly well on the mini Motorola Actv screen. While I wouldn't suggest it as a smartphone replacement, it's still an impressive piece of technology and might just be worth shelling out the money if you're looking for a gift for a dedicated Android moder.
