Here's a dark bit of smartphone humor to start your day off. I've always been an internet junky but since I started packing a powerful Android smartphone, I kind of noticed that without my phone, that something was just off. Without Google search to keep my conversations lively or the comforting buffer of Facebook to help me ignore unwanted social contact, the real world was just a lot more work then I was ready to invest.
Apparently, I'm not the only one worrying about smartphones' effects on our mental powers. The fine folks over at the Onion have put together a lovely little satire that hits the nail on the head. ::warning dark humor ahead::

Okay so I'm not suggesting that we start putting smartphone zombies out of their misery but the Onion does make a point. Is it possible to be too obsessed with smartphones and social media? Ummmm..... hmmmmm.... nope! ;-)
