AndroidPIT had a chance to talk with the CEO of People Of Lava, makers of the "Scandinavia", an Android-powered television. The company refers to their television, the Scandinavia, as the first Android powered television. The Scandinavia is currently available in 3 sizes and is powered by Android 1.5, with an upgrade to Android 2.2 coming in December of this year.

Sprint launched the Samsung Epic 4G yesterday in stores and online for $249.99 on a two year contact. Engadget reports that Amazon has the handset listed for $199 on a two year contract. For those of you who like to run ROMs on your phones or just have root access, you will be excited to know that the Epic 4G has been rooted since Saturday.

Engadget is reporting that an FCC filing for the Samsung Galaxy Tab has exposed some new details regarding the radio bands supported by the device, which gives us an insight into which carriers might end up carrying the device. We already have fairly strong evidence for Verizon, and with this latest revelation, AT&T seems to be a likely candidate as well.

CellPhoneSignal released new official pictures of the T-Mobile G2, which are also on T-Mobile's site, which strengthen several rumors on the G2's features.  In addition, T-Mobile announced that they have expanded their HSPA+ network to several new markets, with coverage now extending to 55 major metorpolitan areas.

U.S. Cellular launched their second Android device, the HTC Desire, as a CDMA version for $199.95 after a $70 mail-in rebate on Friday. Their first Android device, the Samsung Acclaim, was launched just a few weeks ago, according to TalkAndroid. The Desire is HTC's Sense-UI based Android handset that features specs very similar to the Nexus One.

Samsung unveiled a teaser site, complete with a video yesterday, highlighting their previously unannounced Samsung Galaxy Tab, and showing off some of the features that make the device special, as well as the device itself. The video includes the official acknowledgement that the device will be unveiled on September 2nd here in Berlin, where AndroidPIT is based.

Engadget received another exclusive yesterday when they revealed that a "source close to the situation" informed them that Droid Pro would be the World Edition of the Droid 2 we have been hearing about. Engadget also recevied a tip that the enV Touch 2, successor to the enV Touch, will run Android 2.1, increase in size and weight, maintain the QWERTY keyboard, and be a global device.

Lately, we've been seeing lots of information on upcoming Verizon Wireless Android handsets, thanks to the tipsters of BoyGeniusReport. Yesterday, PhoneArena posted up a new Verizon roadmap with many more devices listed, including a phone we have seen before, and a sibling to the Droid X. While this new roadmap doesn't claim to stretch into 2011 like BoyGeniusReport's, it still has plent of juicy information.
