Battery Lifetime / Live Wallpapers?

Hi there english community,

as now bit by bit more and more v2.1 based Android devices come up, I really wonder if the live wallpaper has any impact to the battery lifetime. If there is someone out there, with two devices straight out of the box, please make a test. I would be totally interested!

Have you considered using "Advance Task Manager"?
This very useful app will help you control what programs are running, and turn off what's not needed, to help conserve battery life.

vernon, I'm sure that el doesnt wants to kill any tasks ...

El, I can't test it but I'm quite sure that the battery lifetime will hardly get reduced by using live wp's cause they have to get updated in the background even if you don't use your phone for having a real live picture.

They will definetely effect your battery, but some more than others.

It depends a lot on how "crazy" animation is as well. If its subtle, it will probably consume less power.
