It's a video. you can see it on the desire with dolphin browser and htc flash player or on your pc.
I bought the string loop out of the phone either side of the usb connector.

To make the strap even more solid,do the above then put your phone in a silicone case

I've got a friend who is trying to buy an HTC Desire right now. I had a bad experience with my G1 in terms of dropping it, so I'm encouraging him to protect his phone somehow. I'll recommend this to him. Also, do you have any recommendations for inexpensive cases for the Desire?

There are such a variety of cases,it really depends on how much protection he wants for his phone.Until he chooses i would suggest getting a silicone case off ebay that only costs a few pounds to protect the phone straight away.

hi guys, after looking at the way suggested of attaching a strap by using a bit of tape under the rear cover, I thought that anything sticky near my desire, left a lot to be desired....!!
I have decided on this method, without ANY damage, Goo, glue, tape, yadah yadah.

Simply remove rear cover, pass some fairly thin but strong cord through speaker holes from inside to out and knot on external of cover as to avoid the knot being inside against the speaker fabric.
I also have my device inside one of those 'tough skins' which means back is even more secure, as it has cut out for speaker allowing cord to pass throuh.

hope it helps
