So how come after I delete an app it still leaves files/folders in my file managers? Is there any reason/benefit to having more then one file manager? Do u? I have several browsers because some work better depending on what I'm doing so just curious whether I should waste the space on multiple file managers.

Actually the file Managers only show you what is on your device.. mainly the SD card.
Astro File Manager seem to be one of the best around which I personally use. I also use Linda manager mainly to back up my apps and to delete app easily. As for why files are left on your unit after you delete an app: it's is actually a good thing... If you update or reinstall the app all your setting etc will still be in tact. However if you never plan on reinstalling an app it is safe to delete the folder on the SD card.

justJay managed to install Adobe Flash player on his Droid Eris, but I forget if it requires root or not. That should be what you need to view those sites like Hulu. There should be a thread around here somewhere that says how he did it.

I went to Hulu and was unable to view videos.. the 10.1 installed on my Eris seams to work on some sites while on others.. the site informs me that i'm not using a Nexus One by Google and that I need to be using the 2.2 firmware but I'm running 2.1.

Download from here USING YOUR PHONE while using one of the AndroidPIT apps: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=PMWLJ59A
NOTE: Be sure you inable installing from "Unknown Sources" by going to: Menu, Settings, Applications.. and checking the box before you download. Once you click on link and it opens the website on your phone; enter the four digit code it requests, then download.. on next screen choose standard download.. wait for the 45 second timer to count down.. then click on the download button when it appears. Once downloaded just click on the downloaded file to install via package installer.

It's not going to be listed as a program, it runs in the background.

If it downloaded and you haven't installed it yet. Open your browser, click menu, then downloads. It should be on your list of downloads, click it and it should let you install it.

not sure if anyones interested but I found a website that streams a small list of tv shows to android phones for free. Its androidvideo.net. If anyone knows any similar type of sites I would love to know about them. also can someone please tell me how to access my download history list without downloading something? the app managers do not allow you to see items being downloaded and I can only access the list by downloading something else?!

Not sure if its the same on your phone. On mine in the browser if I press menu, then more, the downloads list is there.
Also if you have Astro File manager, or Linda Manager, you can see your downloads on the sd card itself. On my phone its on the SD card under the "download" folder. |
