Angela, I've been thinking of starting a thread for female Android users, but am not sure how that would go down with both our female and male members (i.e. whether anyone would be interested in it / whether the boys would feel excluded)... I would love to hear your thoughts!

I think that sounds like a great idea. As there are so many apps I spend most of my time hunting through various sights, much to my husbands disgust. We could share app recommendations and so much more.

boo. still no sign of upgrade. by the time I get mine everyone else will be waiting to receive honeycomb.

What's wrong with the Eris?

I have the Eris.. HTC Sense rocks (no other company`s UI comes close) ..also my Eris is :
Rooted, Overclocked to 710 Mhz (which makes it faster then the Mottorola Droid) , WiFi Tethering, and over 150 apps installed.

Also changed my boot screen to the Nexus One boot screen... nice!

yeah I know! and I'm jealous! once I'm sure the Droid 1 is done getting updated then I'll root it too.

I wasn't saying there was anything wrong with the Eris, I was just saying alot of people don't get to look forward to ota updates anymore : /

I agree that it sucks that Verizon isn't providing ongoing updates for a phone that every person that owns it is still under contract.

not just that but a rather new phone! isn't it only just about a year old?!?

Yep.. got mine back in January of this year and it had only been out a couple months at that time.
