Froyo Update

why cant o2 sort it out and send ud the update > they say they have to 'test' it and make it compatable but its bullshit the only extra o2 have put on the phone is the boot animation!!!!

Vodafone was doing a similar technique with the Android 2.2 update, and they even had the nerve to send out an update full of bloatware while Desire users were expecting FroYo. Needless to say, there was a lot of backlash, and they caved in to consumers pressures. Vodafone's update should be out soon, based on what I have read.

As for O2, it could be that their software engineers or whatever are working on other projects currently, or that they are using their time to remove certain features from the release that they don't want coming to their phones. Or maybe there is another explanation that I am not expecting.
