my Eris is has low memory and RAM I've dumped some apps. is there a way to get more RAM/memory. also my running apps should I turn off untill needed? this is my first Android and any feedback would help. thanks.

I too own the HTC Droid Eris.. as far as memory goes you should be able to have a far amount of apps.. 50 or so depending on the size a
of the app of course.

If you are like me and want 200 apps on your Eris.. you are going to have to Root your device and use a 2.1 ROM with Apps2SD on a partioned SD card.

If all that sound to complex.. you can download Linda Manager from app store.. then use it to back up apps to your SD card to later be reinstalled as needed. Games seem to take up the most memory and are usually not needed on a daily basis; therefore, are the best to backup then uninstall to free up memory.

Linda Manager will also show you the size of each app so you can see what's taking up the most memory.
