My HTC hero has a problem with bluetooth. it can see other devices but will not work eg on handsfree or with bluetooth controller , sharing files etc

What Version of Android do you have on your Hero? 1.6 or 2.1?

The Bluetooth support with 1.6 is not very good.

You can try the app Bluetooth File Transfer. That should solve your problem.

I have never been a big fan of using Bluetooth to transfer files etc.. seems more trouble then it is worth.
