Android Market Icon MISSING on my X10 Mini Pro created on Nov 17, 2010 4:17:13 PM Android Market Icon is completely MISSING on my new X10 Mini Pro.... :-( I purchased the phone 4 weeks back in US and now I am in India. As you guys know well that without Android Market my phone is like a doll(worth less).... Even i done Factory reset also but the output is failed !!! Can any experts solve my problem??? Hopefully waiting for replies................ |

Try to contact Sony Ericsson customer support about your problem, as they will be most informed on what to do.
As a stop-gap, you can download the AndroidPIT App Center onto your phone and install apps that way. We don't have as many apps as the Android Market, but we have a fair amount. If you want to try and wait a few weeks, the Android 2.1 update for the Xperia X10 family should be hitting your handset in 2 weeks at the latest, if not sooner. The new install of Android may fix the problem, but I can't say for sure. Thanks for your quick reply......... Some of my friends have updated to 2.1 for their X10 Mini Pro. They bought their mobiles in India but they have updated their mobile to 2.1..... Yesterday I checked by connecting my device with PC Companion but it says your device is up to date (I purchased in US 4 weeks before) !!! If I upgrade to 2.1, the missing android market icon problem will get resolved??? After upgradation will I get the Android Market Icon???? But I am still in 1.6 firmware... :-( So do you have any idea about when i can able to upgrade to 2.1 ??? |

If, by the beginning of December, you still don't have Android 2.1, contact Sony Ericsson customer service. Once you get the Android 2.1 update, if the Android Market icon is still missing, contact Sony Ericsson customer service, and ask them what to do.
