Hey guys, i am in the market for a new tv and I am looking for a 32 inch 1080p. Any ideas as to what one I should get?

So it has to fit inside of a certain size cabinet then, or what? I can tell you that I personally don't have much experience with HD televisions other than the one I helped set up at my parents house, and the HD TV in my girlfriend's parents' house. Both are Samsungs, and both TVs make both families happy. I can't tell you of any problems so far.
However, I will tell you that Google TV (from Sony) has been getting lots of good reviews so far. What do you know about Google TV, and does that interest you, or are the prices too steep?

this television will be used for college. It is a graduation present, I have seen and researched the google tv and am not entirely interested. It can be no larger than 32 inches as that is the largest they allow. Price is not an issue, I am looking for quality and a television that will last me a long time.

Well, it is hard to give you a concrete suggestion, as my likes are different than yours, but take a look at these three pages if you are looking for some suggestions. Looking at the feedback (if there is any available) is a good way to get the opinion of a buyer. I would try and get something with 1080p and 120Hz refresh if I was in your position. Is there a budget that you can't go over?
Sony's website doesn't allow me to specify my product search well, but here you go Samsung only has one 1080p television in a 32" size, but it costs $1200. They have several cheaper 720p televisions to choose from however LG has 3 televisions in the 32" size with 1080p and 120Hz refresh, between $800 and $900
