I believe that from a consumer point of view, that is impossible. I'm fairly sure the developer is in charge of how the price will be displayed.

I've heard there may be an update to the google market to start displaying cost of apps in your local currency. Maybe this is something you should mention to the App Center developers as well. They could allow you to set your currency/country in the settings, and then the app could maybe poll a server or something for the current exchange rate?

The problem is the exchange rate, though. As the rates change may different every day, it is pretty hard to display the price in different currencies. The solution would be the Apple strategy: only three or four different but fixed price levels for every country. If an app costs $0,99 in the US, it would then cost €0,99 here in Europe. That would be less confusing, even if Europeans then have to pay a little more.

RE: Euro to USD created on Dec 30, 2010 4:31:23 AM justJay I use the app "EX Currency" to do the math.. it even shows the countries flag. How accurate is this app's exchange rate? Is it updated every day? |

When I open the app it says rates as of 8:43 etc. So I believe its updated daily.
