I'm pretty sure I'm the only Nexus S user in the forums so far, but I could be wrong. If you can manage to get a Nexus S for yourself, then I recommend it very highly. Check out my review of it here. The issues you described are issues for some people. You have to decide for yourself. There is an app called noLED which basically does the same thing as a notification LED, but uses your screen for it. It does it's job. There is an app called TuneIn which allows people to hear radio stations over a data connection, if the radio station transmits its signal over the internet as well. If you want to do a lot of video recording at high definition, then the Nexus S is not there yet. It should be able to be fixed in an update from Google though, so it might get fixed in the next couple months. I haven't noticeably suffered from the restarts that people have been reporting and I am running 2.3.1. For me, the 1GB of app storage space and the 15GB of internal is more than enough at this point in time

So dou you see a big difference between the two devices? Hardware. -i see that the hardware is fairly the same except NFC (that will not be really used this year) -i dont consider the curved screen as a Plus , am ok without it Software. -Gingerbread (We still don't see the big Exploding difference bettwen it and froyo ) maybe just the SIP and the new theme and who knows maybe we will get gingerbread as a update.
I mean i want to bring the Nexus S but i want a good reason to bring it my friends tell me its a wast of money
What do you think???

The Desire does not have the same processor as the HTC Desire. The Desire and the Nexus S both have 1GHz processors, but the processors are not designed the same way, so they have different performance. The 1GHz Humingbird processor in the Nexus S is more powerful than the 1GHz Snapdragon in the HTC Desire. However, the Nexus S does have on the most part the same hardware that is inside the Galaxy S. The curve of the Nexus S display does not really do much, but the SAMOLED screen technology in the Nexus S is a step up over the display in the Desire. The Nexus S is not just running Gingerbread before any other phone, but it is also likely going to have the NEXT version of Android before any other phone. One of the big points of having a Nexus handset is that you don't have to wait for the carriers and manufacturers to push the update to you. Instead, once Google releases it for your phone, it should be available shortly afterward. If you want to run stock Android and get your Android updates ASAP without so much fuss, then I recommend getting a Nexus S handset.

HTC G1. The most ancient of the old Android phones. But I've also used several other Android devices for testing over the months.

Gamal hussein So the Nexus s is the best you used until now? Without a doubt. However, I am not the typical Android user. I wanted the Nexus S because I'm a blogger and want to be able to have the same Android OS version and test the same apps that anyone else can. I had tried the Galaxy S beforehand and was a big fan of it. I was really close to buying it. My only complaints were the lack of a camera flash and the seeming fragility of the phone. Neither of those are an issue with the Nexus S.

I'm not sure, as I don't use a VPN right now. I did a quick Google search and encountered one person with a VPN problem on their phone, but there is no way to know whether the problem lies with them or the phone, as no one was able to help. There was another thread on XDA Developers with some people having VPN problems, but managed to fix a lot of them: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=627994

If you want to run stock Android and get your Android updates ASAP without so much fuss, then I recommend getting a Nexus S handset. I am the one presently using HTC desire S and its been 4 months i have been using it well no comparision could be made between HTC Desire and Nexus S coz htc desire should be compared to Nexus S' s predecessor ie Nexus one. Now obviously htc desire and Nexus one had lots of tussle as both are equivalent and have a lots of similarities. Douglas review abt Nexus S is absolutely perfect and i feel he has more experience of using androids than me and I completely agree by Douglas. The reason behind buying Nexus S is no doubt HTC desire made a step ahead by launching Desire S as a successor jst like Nexus S however Nexus S has superiority than HTC Desire's successor HTC Desire S. Reviews here will prove with more depth abt Douglas's views http://www.slashgear.com/htc-desire-vs-google-nexus-one-2074966/ However the reason behind buying HTC desire S for me was my budget limitations as HTC desire S cost me £399.00 on contrary to it Nexus S would cost me round bout £440 however i could buy Nexus one which was less than that of HTC Desire S but opted to choose advanced one. Currently I am wishing to buy some of Htc accessories like bluetooth headsets and in car charger compatible to my current phone bt at a reasonable rate coz budget matters me a lot. Any recommendation will be highly appreciated. Thanks.
