I have an Android Galaxy S 1900 and i dropped it from a low chair to the carpet and the screen is not cracked or scratched but the screen went VERY bright to off and i cant get it back on.....i also dont know how to take out the battery! Please Help!!!! My parents will kill me!

Thank you very much but i dont have the same kind of phone...... mine is a galaxy s 1900 not a captivate. is there one for a 1900?? ( i dont really know about phones soo i think its a 1900 im not sure because it only says galaxy s )

It could be that the battery dislodged itself from its place, and the battery is no longer connected to the metal contacts. As Jeremiah said, check the battery.
If the screen is not visibly broken, and you dropped it onto carpet from a low height, I honestly doubt anything internal was broken. If removing the battery and reinserting it correctly doesn't work, give us a heads-up and we'll try to help from there.
