There is some confusion right now regarding whether or not Honeycomb is or isn't coming to smartphones.
One theory is that Android 2.4 will be released soon and be a part of Gingerbread in name, but bring many of Honeycomb's features to smartphones. We do know for sure that Android Ice Cream, the Android version after Honeycomb, will bring Android for tablets and smartphones back together again, so that will include smartphones most likely. Only HTC can say for sure if the Desire HD will be getting an update to any OS, but I'd bet that the DHD will at least get updated to 2.4, if not Android Ice Cream sometime later.

This thread is nearly one year old, and is about the DHD.
Android 3 is tablets only as we've learned. The DHD will eventually receive Android 4.x. |
