Problems with Sync

Can some body plz help me... i recently downloaded the new version for HTC Sync... Every time i try to sync my phone an error comes up regarding my contacts "PIM". I managed to sync my phone and in the process lost all my contacts. I managed to retreive my contacts through a hard copy on my laptop and imported them to gmail... i now have links on every contacts name why is this, it is also linking my contacts to my FaceBook when i have not linked the 2 together... any clues?? What's the best way to fix my sync problem?

I'm not entirely sure I understand the problem since I haven't used HTC Sync, but here's a link to their support page for Sync: http://www.htc.com/www/howto.aspx?id=753&type=1&p_id=312

I think if you go through the settings it should let you disable Facebook syncing and you can use the repair function afterwards to re-sync everything to your liking. Or use a back up program to fix your sync problem

Hi thanks for the reply... i have checked my sync with FB and it is not activated. On the HTC sync there is no option to see why the sync failed. So I have now had to delete all my contacts and start from fresh.
