News site are sending out word that the Droid Eris is getting an update (not FroYo) to fix some issues with the handset. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the last official update the Droid Eris gets from Verizon. Some of the things it is supposed to fix include the SMS/MMS bug, bluetooth connections, improvements to the displayed cellular signal strength received, microsoft apps fixes, and improved twitter support.

Wow...and we all thought they forgot about the Eris.. lol
Well I might need to find where I put my little Eris and try the update when its available.

I would think that the custom ROM you're running already has those issues fixed, wouldn't it?
