new to android development

hi,
I am an computer science undergrad and probally will be going to use an android phone that is htc wildfire.i have experience in java and want to start developing apps for wildfire.Can anyone one tell me how to proceed

A forum I like if I'm having a problem is: www.anddev.org and http://www.xda-developers.com/

From official site you will get some sample apps just try to run those apps as instructed in it and u will get a good knowledge.
