Why Having to Re-Start "Ships Bells" app?

I have the app "Ships Bells" app installed on my Motorola Droid 2.2.2 and want it to just run ALL the time. I've configured it to start automatically on re-boot and set up "Quiet Hours" from 12:01 am to 6:01 am.

I'm not sure when it happens, but the app stops working at some point. It's still installed but silent ...and the Quiet Hours have been re-set to 12:00 am - 12:00 am.

I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas. My best guess would be that another app I have installed "AudioGuru" -- which adjusts various system sounds during the day may be conflicting with Ships Bells.
