I'm sure battery life is an issue for many people, and lack of Skype video chat. Is there anything else you don't like about this phone? Let us know!

[b]My biggest complaint is I cant hear on the dang thing.
There is no volume to it in any mode (speaker or not).
Ear jacks don't help and I'm fried about it.
HTC told me they were working on a software update for that but nothing yet.

Yan Matusevich
the volume is just too low?

YES! And there is nothing I seem to be able able to do about it.
I also hate the method it requires of unlocking and opening it up
every time you need to get into it.
It does allot of useful things but it is not access friendly as you constantly have to
press the silver button at the top first, to do anything...then swipe the lock downward to get to a
display where you can begin to do what you need to do on it. Then you have to press the button again to shut it down to save on battery life.
then the annoying ritual starts all over again in a second or a minute.

That sounds awful! Concerning the volume, it appears to be common grievance among Thunderbolt owners and we've had people complaining about it for a while. What did HTC tell you over the phone? As far as I can understand, they are working on a software update to resolve the issue since this is definitely not a hardware problem.

The good news is that there are several apps out there that can boost your volume, but they will only work on phones running gingerbread and not froyo. What Android OS version are you running? If you're still on Froyo, the only option is to root the phone and install a custom kernel, which not everyone is willing to do.

Oh and about the unlock screen: that's something touchscreen phones all have. There's always a combination of pressing a button and unlocking the screen with a swipe.

I returned my first Thunderbold when the volume quit working. They told me that I had a blown speaker. Now that I have had it for so long, If I want it to stay on I have to have it connected to a charger. Time for a new battery! I am considering the extended life battery but have not seen any cases for them. Anyone have feedback on the life difference between the regular and extended batteries?

I got the extended battery some time ago and it came with a new back. The battery works fine. No, awesome would be a better way to describe it. I keep the phone plugged in almost all of the time only because I keep the WiFi hot spot active 24 hours a day. Otherwise, my battery will last all day long (more than 8 hours easily)

Except for a slight volume problem, I have no complaints with my Thunderbolt. Maybe I am just not as jaded as some other folks, but I think it is the most awesome phone I have ever owned and would not trade it for anything else I've seen on the market. But then, I am 64 years old, so all this new fangled stuff still amazes me with even the least effort on the part of the manufacturers. I also own an Acer Iconia A500 tablet and would literally break down and cry if any thing were to ever happen to it.

My complaints are numerous. My wife and I both have one, and when we talk, she sounds like she's talking into a pillow. Her voice sounds muffled. When either one of us uses a different phone, the issue disappears. The data signal will inexplicably drop for no apparent reason, making it difficult to do anything on the internet. Using the facebook app tends to highlight this issue when on 4G, and is better when on 3G. The phone arbitrarily will reboot or power down with no warning. The latest issue is that it will not download the 4.0 ICS update. As soon as the update starts, the phone freezes and I must remove the battery to get it restarted. I have tried doing a factory reset first (which is easy for me due to the vast experience I have in resetting the phone trying to resolve these issues) to no avail. Now as to the original question, I will leave it to you to decide which of these complaints is the biggest. They are all big to me. Big enough that I refuse to ever own another HTC product. In fact, I will probably return to iPhone. My upgrade in June can't come fast enough!
