For some incredibly strange reason, Sony hasn't included a standard flash on their 8MP Xperia X10. However, You can turn the light on in the "advanced settings" for photos, but I don't know how to make it flash ONLY when a photo is taken. Also, here's a tip for taking better photos with the X10: push down on the camera button lightly and it starts to focus in the picture and then a hard click finishes the shot: makes a much bigger difference then just clicking it down all at once.

with stock x10 camera it's not possible to have a true flash.
You should give [app]Vignette[/app] a try to have a camera with a flash which is flashing when taking a picture only
