I know that Google + couldn't have copied the words "news feed," but a stream sounds too much like urinating. What do you think?

Furthermore, why doesn't the stream move in anything like a chronological order? Should I ask my urologist?

I think, if you are following 1000+ people in your circles, it becomes a little bit like a stream.... the posts are floating like a waterfall
