Then, this week, I started having some major problems. I downloaded a few cartoons and the sound didn't work. Then, suddenly, NONE of the sounds worked. I couldn't even hear people when they called me. Sound for games was intermittent, as well as weather and ring tones. Then I charged the phone for a night and everything worked like new the next morning, except it seemed to be overheating..well not SEEMED to be overheating but DEFINITELY overheating.. hotter than a frickin' tea kettle. Today it seems fine again but I'm wondering what the heck is going on? I still love this phone so much but I'm afraid I'll have to return it now. Anyone else have any advice?

Sounds like a defect. I would contact HTC or your carrier. Are you still on warranty?
