having the same situation → rear camera only in my samsung tab← on skype even in yahoo messenger™! it's a nonsense stuff...

how long there will be an option to use the front camera?

i thought before my device is faulty, it is the skype application unsolved issue....

front camera is working in "FRING" application...

I do believe it works with front-facing cameras as well, if your phone has one.

my device is samsung tab froyo 2.2,
still rear camera function only in skype & yahoo messenger..
no option at all either switching it from rear to front..
i think rear camera is the default setting in skyoe & yahoo.

i did try other app just to confirm that front camera is working in video call session, it's working in FRING with front facing camera.
