Sorry for the redundant question, but is there a way to transfer all my text messages from my phone to my computer for backup? Any service that can do that?

Thanks

Hi :) I can recommend you http://smslemon.com. This app lets you manage your smses by the website. All your smses are copied from phone to the service (smslemon). You can delete your smses from the phone and store on the website only. If you want to restore smses on phone back you also can do it.

Try VeryAndroid SMS Backup. It is a smart andriod sms backup software that can copy and backup sms on Android phone to computer, restore sms backup file to any android phone, and also send messages or chat with a friend on computer directly, exactly the same as that you do on your android phone.

It can help you:
- Copy and backup SMS from Anroid phone to computer.
- Restore SMS to android phone any time.
- Send SMS & SMS Chat on computer directly.
- Transfer SMS to android phone from other phones (iPhone, Windows Mobile, Nokia, Blackberry etc).
- View SMS messages in threading mode on computer.

I used one called smstotext, or something along those lines (dont have it installed anymore). It was really simply to use and you could pick which contacts messages you wanted to save. It stored them on the sd card. Great app.

To transfer Android text messages to computer, you need to have an USB cable which you connect to your phone and laptop. You will see an installation bubble pop up in the bottom right of your screen. On your Android phone pull down the notification window and tap USB connected. Tap Mount on the notification window that appears. Find the removable storage drive and drag and drop the desired files to the drive. In your phones notification window tap Turn off USB storage and then unplug your phone.
