RE: Tethering Without Root created on Apr 16, 2012 6:46:50 PM (via AndroidPIT app) Peter Long Is it possible to tether without rooting the phone? depends if It's not native to your system then probably not my htc amaze has it out of the box (in canada) I know some phones here only have USB tether and not WiFi and then others don't have it at all I think you can get an app to give USB tethering without rooting but if It's WiFi tether you want I'm pretty sure you have to root |

You won't be able to employ iptables binaries without root
which presupposes netfilter is baked into your kernel |

Try PDA net from june fabrics it sounds shady but it isnt it is very good been using it for over a year
