So I did the Znet Root on my phone a long time ago and I was wondering whether I could undo the root effects or are they permanent?

To unroot you can simply flash other kernel that doesn't have root, remember sometimes it will crash your system. The best way to unroot is to flash a new ROM because it will be clean with no root permissions made, so you'll get more stable system than by flashing kernel only.
