I have a friend who just installed Gingerbread on his Samsung Galaxy S and it looks amazing and runs super fast. Can anyone give me detailed instructions on how to do this on my own Samsung Galaxy S?

I'm tempted, but I understand there are some different versions of gingerbread.

I use swype but initial reading indicates it might not work after incorrect update.

I'm currently running froyo 2.2 but nothing shows on kies even though 2.3 is coming on newer phones. (australia)

If you Samsung upgrade, let us know how it went.

you will need to run your Samsung Kies Software and upgrade the software on your computer first then upgrade your phone, if there is no up grades keep check it each week there will be one soon....

In INDIA ..... Initially purchased Samsung galaxy si9000 . Then the samsung upgrade to 2.2 , then in May i think upgraded to 2.3.3 gingerbread. Or GT9000 WORKING GREAT .Expecting another upgrade.
