Samsung Droid Charge — Data dropping?

Data dropping?

I have a charge and I live near a major metropolitan area and sometimes the Charge will not have a data connection for some reason. Doesn't happen to any of my other phones and I wonder what's going on?

There is a known issue with the Droid Charge. It appears to be related to the LTE antenna even if it is turned off. There is a Better Business Bureau case about it. Some people complained and have gotten many replacement phones without luck. I am considering moving on to the Prime as I have the same random issue even on different ROMs and different Software for the antennas.

From what I have gathered from Verizon tech support, the OTA update is going to address the data connectivity issue. It's due out any day now.

If you decide to reset the device, follow these steps:

Go to your Home Screen
Press the Menu button
Choose Settings
Choose Privacy
Choose Wipe Data / Factory Data Reset (sometimes called Clear Storage, and sometimes located in SD Card & Storage, not Privacy)
