HTC Thunderbolt — 4G Doesn't Work, Drops Connection

4G Doesn't Work, Drops Connection

My Thunderbolt with Verizon has terrible problems with connections via 4G. Every time I turn on the 4G it slows down my phone and the phone starts dropping the connection. The whole point I switched to Verizon was to take advantage of their 4G network, but this is impossible with this stuff going on. Verizon is just telling me to get a replacement phone, but are there any other solutions out there?

Had the exact same issue a while back. Got a replacement phone and it's working great ever since.

It might have something to do with the fact that Verizon's 4G coverage actually isn't as good as they market it to be. It can be spotty at beast based on my experiences.

No, my problem isn't getting a 4G connection with the Thunderbolt, but keeping one. My phone literally starts freaking out every time I turn on 4G connectivity as if it's having difficulty handeling the issue. Everything slows down a lot and it just keeps on dropping the connection. Again, the phone is absolutely fine and normal when connected to a regular 3G network.

I also keep on getting a connection fail signal on my phone every now and then. it's extremely annoying, let me tell you! and I don't live in a rural area either.

although there have been many issues with the 4g network, i think the problem that Raj is describing is really a hardware issue and should be addressed as such. get a replacement and tell us how it works.
