I think Kindle Fire is the best cheap one, but you can also choose Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire HD for $199.

I recently purchased a a Hyundai XPlay 900 and love it. Purchased online from ipadalternative
Had to wait for it but it has arrived in good fashion. They have lots of brands and all are reasonably priced.

Nexus 7 IS cheap and for me the best option when it comes to speed and quality. better then most others...
