However strange it may sound, I'm not sure it's all people that can upgrade. Sony E released the update ages ago, but not all service providers has made it available to customers, which is really annoying if you have a new sony ericsson phone and can't update it.
Another option is to update the phone (if the firmware update is available) through PC Companion and the USB cable. You may need to root your phone and install e.g. Generic Nordic firmware (don't worry, you van still have menus etc. in English). You can read much more about it at the XDA forums.
