Little Known Ice Cream Sandwich Features...
created on Dec 2, 2011 5:41:55 PM
- Android Ice Cream Sandwich can save all of your e-mails from the past 30 DAYS for offline browsing! We knew it had cacheing power, but damn!
- You can also save webpages for offline browsing, for those times when you're using your phone in Airplane mode but don't want to miss this morning's headlines.
- ICS's browser allows you to leave up to 16 webpages open at the same time. Boom!
- There's now an equalizer baked into ICS, allowing you to mess with bass and 3D effects.
- Android's new dictation software allows you to add smiley faces to text messages simply by saying "smiley face." Ha. A small thing, but nice, no?
- About that dictation software: it seems to have improved quite a lot over older versions, and can update messages as you talk, rather than forcing you to wait for it to process your statement.
- The visual voicemail API is buried in the software, meaning it'll probably be used by various carriers on future permutations of ICS on other devices. But yay! Visual voicemail is a real treat.
- ICS contains software that can read the temperature and humidity of the air around it. Yes, you heard right, folks: future Androids are one step closer to becoming full on personal meteorologists.

hi Steven. I just recently updated to aOS 4.1.1 on my HTC one XL. thus far I've had no dramas with the one XL or with the OS. I would have readily recommended this device running 4.0 with bells on! since the update however, I've been having nothing BUT dramas! first, the HTC one comes out of the factory with 2G of RAM. til now it has been hovering around 700MB of said 2G. this is not counting sd. now my phone tells me it is currently using just under 6 of 8G! where did the extra memory come from? or is my phone WAY misreading it's own system? then there's WiFi. suddenly now, while I can still connect to my network, the phone won't actually load anything. my device won't forget the network so that I can try setting it up again from scratch. I can no longer introduce a new word to my personal dictionary while I'm typing. the option to do so has simply disappeared! there are other issues on top of these, but I'm sure you're getting the idea. most of this is trifling stuff which in itself wouldn't bother me. at the moment though, the look and feel of everything has changed, mostly for the better, and I'm still getting used to it. in the meantime, these issues are making the adjustment really REALLY frustrating! do you know anyone who knows anything about any of the issues I HAVE mentioned?

I am using a Micromax A 110 Canvas 2 with Android Jelly Bean ( I suppose ). I entered the wrong pattern 20 times and the phone got locked and it asks for my Google ID. Even though I provided the correct ID and password I'm unable to use the device. I then changed the password from the web. Even now I am unable to Login. Please help me!!
