How do I install DVDs onto my HTC Sensation XE?

Hi All, I'm new here and this is the first HTC phone I have had. When I bought the phone (from T-Mobile) the customer service guy was boasting about how he could watch films on his HTC phone. I have been searching the Web for a DVD converter so I can convert my DVDs to MP4 or something else compatible to play on my HTC. Does anyone know any decent DVD converters that allow you to copy more than 5 minutes of the movie or don't point you to another website asking you to buy the 'full' version.

You could copy them over from your pc using the usb cable, but recently I've been using HTC Watch which comes on the phone. There have been special offers lately with rentals at only 49 pence... brilliant

Hi Stewart, thanks for the post but I need to know how to physically convert a DVD into a compatible file to store on my pc and then transfer it on to to my phone. HTC watch doesn't work on the sensation either. Really I'm looking for some free DVD ripping software.

The best ripping software I have ever used is by slysoft http://www.slysoft.com/en/download.html - I use it for DVD's & CD's etc., but it isn't free, although there is a special offer on just now.

Others I've tried include FreeRIP, QuickMediaConverter, and I've also read reasonable reviews about Applian?

+1 on slysoft products. They get the job done pretty well.

Well i ripped my DVD into MP4 format with an H.264 codec..and the videos play superbly and also the sound quality it gives is just amazing..
