That's different on each carrier (If you actually just talking about the recorded sound file) but typically if you press 2 after a voice mail plays then it gets deleted. If you're talking about the notification on your phone that you've recieved a voice mail then open up the notification tray at the top of the screen and hit the 'clear' button.
