Samsung Droid Charge — Update

Update
created on Jan 6, 2012 6:12:59 AM
I have a Samsung Charge and while I haven't experienced most of the problems
posted in the forum, I would like to know when the next firmware update might be.
Mine says it's 2.3.6. I don't know if that's Gingerbread, Ice Cream Sundae or what ever flavor there is.
Is there somewhere I can go to find out what which is which? :(

Thanks,
Cherie

Your phone is running Gingerbread which is the newest update, so you should be all up to date. Nothing newer than Gingerbread! It was released on November 30th and nothing newer has been released since.

Thank you so much! I've wondered about those updates. I have another question.
Do I have the newest update for my phone or is that in general? I really like my Charge.

Sounds like it but if you're wondering if you have the newest version of Android for you phone go to settings> about phone > software update and you'll get a screen telling you if an update is available and asking you if you want to update if there is a new firmware version out for your handset.

Hope that helps!
