Androidpit no updates created on Jan 29, 2012 6:27:59 PM (via AndroidPIT app)
What i noticed is that most of the apps on androidpit are far from updated like on android market.
For instance galaxy tarot pro: androidpit: 1.6.6 market: 1.7.4....... thats a huge difference. WHY??? I paid for the app! Same for quickoffice pro! So on androidpit everybody pays for outdated apps???? |

Hi Marcel,
Those apps are normally updated by the developer of the app and put on our app store. Could you let me know which app/apps you have found that have newer versions in the android market so that I can contact the devs for an updated apk? Thanks for bringing this up! Eric |

Maybe it would be a nice feature for androidpit to automatically check for version discrepancies between the google market and androidpit app center and send an email to devs reminding them that they might want to update their apps...

Great suggestion but we already have a system in place to do just that. But with 300,000+ apps in the Android market it takes awhile to update all the apps we also have at AndroidPIT.But we're working to help streamline the process... if you have any other suggestions let us know! We always love feed back from users!

I sent a support ticket to www.quickoffice.com asking for an .apk with the latest version because androidpit is not providing it.
Also your site mentions an update on februari 9 for quickoffice pro ? What version? and why not the ICS version? |

AndroidPIT doesnt provide the updates. Once its seen that we have an older version of the app in our market vs the Android Market, the developer of the app is contacted and asked to update it automatically. Unfortunately, this can sometimes take a bit of time.

We re doing our best to ping developers when they should update their apps. We are trying to figure out a process to push them a bit more, but in the end its really up to them.
