How to Update Huawei U8860 Honor with Official ICS Android 4.0 Firmware? created on Feb 3, 2012 11:18:11 AM
Huawei Honor is now being honored with the latest state of art Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Update. To a surprise, this is the 2nd straight phone after the Galaxy Nexus to get the taste of Ice Cream Sandwich. But how to update my Huawei U8860 Honor Android 2.3 1.5G CPU 4GB ROM Dual SIM Cellphone with ICS Android 4.0? Anybody know about this? Thanks a lot!

That depends. Are you wanting to manually update it an the official version without having root, or are you wanting to know how to root it and install a custom version of ICS?

So far I can only find instructions to do it in Chinese (its on their official site). Are you writing from Asia, or do you need an English version?

Official build is a good place to start. If you manually update and still dont like it, then you could consider rooting.
Might make sense to try that first. |
