Please Help : Question about flashing Froyo 2.2.2 on Continuum created on Feb 7, 2012 5:40:38 PM
Hello :
I am trying to flash my Continuum with Froyo 2.2.2, and I am confused about the steps involved. Can someone please clarify? 1. Do I need to formally "root" the phone using SuperOneClick v2.1.1 before I flash ClockworkMod recovery? 2. Will just flashing CWM also take care of rooting, or do I need to formally root first? Thank you for taking a moment to answer these questions. I am extremely grateful. |

HI there, and welcome!
SuperOneClick is the tool that you need that will give you root access, so before you can use any custom roms, you will firstly need to root. Once you have root, you then flash the CWM recovery, as from there you can flash custom ROMS. So root first, and then flash CWM. Let me know if you have any other questions! |
